JOB:
1 · HOME XYZ / PLOT STARTING POINT ( X 0 - Y 0 - Z 0 )Run the A1 native machine HOME before establishing the paper reference. After any completed job, HOME XYZ is mandatory again before changing Surface Z.
2 · SURFACE Z — PEN TOUCH PAPERLower Z manually until the pen just touches the paper. This establishes Surface Z.

4 · TOOL LIFT + END POSITIONDetected PEN / PLOT. Set travel lift above Surface Z and where XY should finish after the job.
5 · Z MESH — MATERIAL MUST BE READY⚠ INSTALL & SECURE THE ACTUAL PLOT / CUT MATERIAL BEFORE Z MESH. Z Mesh measures the working surface, not the bare plate.
6 · ARTWORK + SAVE TO SDLoad, position, scale and rotate artwork in the ARTWORK workspace.

REPEAT JOB — SAVED CALIBRATION
Repeat Job may automatically HOME XYZ as part of its proven recovery sequence. This HOME does not mean Steps 3–7 must be taught again while the physical setup remains unchanged.
For a changed/new setup: return to STEP 2 HOME XYZ → STEP 3 Surface Z → STEP 4 Bed/Paper Center before continuing.
LDM QUICK GUIDE

CALIBRATE ONCE · SAVE THE JOB · REPEAT WITH THE SAME PHYSICAL SETUP

The saved plotting reference belongs to the paper, tool and machine setup used when that job was prepared.

1HOME + CALIBRATEHOME XYZ → touch paper for Surface Z → save Plot Center → set Tool Lift → optional Z Mesh.
→
2PREPARE ARTWORKLoad VECTOR or TEXT, position it on Preview, then confirm the final composition.
→
3SAVE + STARTSAVE TO SD & START JOB creates the machine project from the current calibrated setup and locks Preview.
→
4REPEATUse LDM REPEAT JOB while calibration is unchanged. A machine-display standalone repeat must use a project containing its own HOME/reference startup.

✓ SAFE TO REUSE THE SAVED SETUP

Same paper/material thickness · same build plate and placement · same pen/blade · same tool extension · nothing physically shifted.

↻ RECALIBRATE FIRST

Paper/material changed · pen/blade replaced or moved · tool extension changed · plate/setup moved · Surface Z is uncertain.

SURFACE Z IS PHYSICAL.A saved Z value is only valid for the setup that created it. HOME establishes machine coordinates; it does not rediscover where the pen or blade touches a changed material.
REPEAT FROM THE A1 DISPLAY

Goal: a saved LDM project can later prepare itself and run without LDM. The standalone project startup must perform HOME/reference preparation before using its saved calibrated Surface Z.

G28 / HOME → INITIALIZE → SAVED REFERENCE → SAVED SURFACE Z → PLOT
Current 2EJ note: this tab documents the intended standalone workflow only; it does not yet inject G28 or change generated 3MF startup G-code. Until that startup is implemented, use LDM REPEAT JOB for the protected repeat sequence.

Pen calibration

Calibration can be changed later. V1 uses relative Z lift.
Motion
Fixed plot-speed choices for predictable pen quality. A1 Normal / Sport / Ludicrous remains a separate printer-side multiplier.
Direct DRAW NOW only. Delay between MQTT G-code sends. Default 10 ms; enter any numeric value. Negative values are treated as 0 ms.
Straight SVG segments stay as one G1 move. Only curves are subdivided.
ON
Recommended ON. When OFF, boundary/safety preflight is bypassed. SET BED/PLATE CENTER remains required as the drawing coordinate reference.
BED/PLATE CENTER: NOT SET — HOME XYZ → jog pen to physical BED/PLATE CENTER → SET BED/PLATE CENTER. SVG X0/Y0 = centered.
No job loaded.
DRAW LOG — load SVG, SET BED/PLATE CENTER, then START DRAW.
START DRAW NOW — LIVE SEND LOG
LIVE SEND LOG — waiting.
ARTWORK
FILES ON CANVAS0 items
List order = pen order. Tool stays at Z LIFT during each hold, then automatically continues. Finish changing the pen before the timer ends. Test with two small files first.
No files inserted yet.
Checked layers, or the active layer if none are checked. CENTER aligns both axes. Locked layers must be unlocked.
Transforms apply to checked layers as a group; with none checked, the active layer is used. Values use the active layer as reference; unchecked layers stay unchanged. Locked selections are protected. CLEAR clears the canvas.
0,0 = artwork centered on BED/PLATE CENTER. +X right, -X left, +Y up, -Y down.
You can also drag the loaded SVG directly in Preview.

TRACE
Choose a tracing tool. It opens in a full-screen workspace over LAN-DEV-MODE (LDM). Close it to return here, then import the exported SVG into the normal SVG workflow.
SquiggleCam: squiggle/plotter conversion. Pintr: single-line illustration. TRUE SCL V1+: identity-preserving, ordered single-centerline portrait workflow.
NATIVE CENTERLINE TRACE
Rapid-Resizer-style local centerline extraction. Processing stays inside LAN-DEV-MODE (LDM).

FTE — FAST TRAJECTORY ENGINE (EXPERIMENT)
Workflow: Upload SVG → position/scale/rotate → BUILD / REFRESH FTE → SAVE GCODE TO SD → start from A1 LCD.
FTE.7: BUILD captures the same transformed artwork trajectory used by Preview; preview helper/border geometry is not collected.
V2(FTE).2 uses direct adaptive Bézier math to build a cached master path list from the current paper preview. Normal V2 drawing/SD output remains active and unchanged.
FTE CACHE: EMPTY
FTE2 fast import active — nothing is sent to the A1 by this panel.

RECOVERY / CLEAN STATE
Use this only when an interrupted/bad plot leaves the A1 task context behind. CANCEL is a real A1 Cancel Print; it does not pretend the machine reached FINISH.
Not checked.
Recovery never starts a job. CANCEL sends one standard A1 print.stop only; status refresh is read-only/pushall. Delete is a separate SD action.
V18.64 captures the complete matching A1 ACK plus up to 40 raw post-command reports, final print report, state/error changes and the exact command sent. No automatic retry. A ✓ PROJECT READY package can be verified/started even when its raw .gcode companion is absent. V18.59 builds the companion from your genuine Bambu Studio LDM-RING package, uploads the .gcode.3mf FIRST, then raw .gcode on ONE FTPS connection, and verifies both before SAVE reports success. First test: known-good small square only.

Safe delete recognizes legacy LDM jobs and LDM-###-PLOT-SZ(...)-DD-MM-YY-HHMM.gcode.3mf files.
A1 microSD over implicit FTPS :990. Uses the same Printer IP + LAN Access Code. LCD-friendly filename: plot_XX_YYYYMMDD_HHMMSS.gcode (XX = running number 01–99).

FONT FILE
Draw freely with mouse, stylus, or finger. Each press-and-drag gesture becomes one centerline stroke. Lift and draw again for disconnected parts. Guides mark the baseline, descenders and character spacing; drawing remains freehand without snapping. Font editing sends no machine motion.
Safety
V1.3 never generates heater/extruder commands. Laser mode is simulation-only and generates no laser-on/PWM commands. HOME and physically verify clearance before a real pen test. STOP lifts the pen and disables XYZ motors; it cannot erase already queued printer motion.
